Ingredients
1. Potatoes boiled, peeled and cut into ½-inch cubes 4 medium
2. Yogurt whisked 4 tablespoons
3. Salt to taste
4. Red chilli powder 1 teaspoon
5. Turmeric powder ¼ teaspoon
6. Oil 2 tablespoons
7. Cumin seeds 1 teaspoon
8. Asafoetida a pinch
9. Green chillies broken into three pieces 3
10. Sugar a pinch
11. Lemon juice 1 tablespoon
12. Fresh coriander leaves chopped 4 tablespoons

How to cook ?

Step 1: Put potatoes in a bowl, add salt, chilli powder and turmeric powder and mix well. Set aside for four to five minutes.
Step 2: Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add cumin seeds and when they begin to change colour, add asafoetida and green chillies and sauté for one minute.
Step 3: Add potatoes and mix. Add two cups of water and mix. Add sugar, salt and lemon juice and mix. Cover and simmer for five to six minutes.
Step 4: Set aside to cool slightly. Add yogurt and mix.
Step 5: Garnish with coriander leaves and serve.
